Moribund Oblivion – A Sound Born from the Darkness of Two Continents

Formed in 2021 in Böblingen, Germany, Moribund Oblivion emerged at the heart of the European black metal scene, yet its roots reach deep into the chaotic soul of Istanbul. The band fuses the cold precision of German underground music with the raw, rebellious energy of the Turkish black metal spirit to forge a unique and compelling sound.

Founding members Murat Özcan (vocals), Barış Deniz (lead guitar), Osman Arslan (guitar), Serdal Semen (bass), and Gökhan Sancaklı (drums) craft their art by blending traditional black metal with a modern touch, transforming darkness into a universal language. Though the band members are split between Germany and Istanbul, the distance only adds cultural depth and diversity to their musical vision.

After the release of their first demo in 2021, Moribund Oblivion quickly caught the attention of the European underground scene. Their themes revolve around nihilism, the downfall of mankind, and metaphysical darkness—inviting listeners into a deep and immersive journey. Their new album, "The Dying Race", stands as a requiem for humanity, offering atmospheric riffs, aggressive vocals, and crushing rhythms.
